BACKGROUND

In the early hours of November 7, 1965, the pixie royal family pointed to the east. The pixies had fallen on hard times again, their 8th ever pixie queen had lived an abnormally short life, her reign cut short by selfish nature and misplaced priorities. It only took nine days for the next pixie queen to be born, though those nine days had been full of strife. But her arrival had been a blessing, flowers bloomed, the wind was cool and refreshing, the birds chirped in glee. It had taken the elders no time to find the infant, cradling their newfound queen in their arms with the promise of raising her as pure of an environment as the love that had birthed her had been.

True to their word, Nadya Elle Lin had been raised in a loving, warm community within the forest. But the elders had taken notice that she was different from their previous pixie queen, and not only in the obvious ways. She had a bad habit of getting lost in her thoughts, of freaking out in the night and on rainy days, and she always insisted that she had been the name they called her was not the correct one.

“Nadya Lin Killian” was what had eventually been settled on, and finally the child’s complaints were put to rest, or so it seemed.

Her talents presented early on, in all the clear ways. She attracted animals with ease, inspired creativity in humans effortlessly, fiercely protect the weak, bloom the prettiest flowers and cast the warmest winds. However, it was in her selflessness that her royalty truly showed. As fate had dictated, those around her treated her as the queen long before she had stepped into role at 25, only by her own insistence that they wait to crown her until she reached the landmark age.

And the moment she was crowned on her birthday, so came the full memories of the life she had lived many years before, as a mere, naive human by the name of Jung Chae-won (Name at Death: Chae-won Killian).
